Baton down the hatches…

carseat

…looks like this kiddo is waging a raging battle against the seatbelt.

(Thanks, Jesus! Poor lil’ guy; I think everyone who sees this frustrated little face will give a collective AWWWW!)

Casting a wary eye

Wary Eye

Wow. I can see it now. This little dude is going to pull this effective stern face on his future daughter’s prom date. Geez, I’m not even a guy and I’m already feeling judged.

(Thanks, Connie S! This is one experienced mom; 3 boys - and a baby girl on the way!)

Safety First

high voltage

Mom got quite the high voltage reaction as she tried to extract a makeshift teether from her son’s mouth. What a shocker!

Huff and puff

candles

Birthday Girl’s uncle (on left) “helped too much” in blowing out her birthday candle.

(Thanks, Marisa S. — her second submission! Her first is here.)

Road Warrior

roadwarrior

Trust us. This is NOT the face you want to see in Hour 1 of a 12-hour road trip (which is exactly when this photo was taken).

(Hope everyone made it back from your trip in one piece, Melissa B.! Thanks for the photo and story.)

A bold statement

A Bold Statement

You’ve got to hand it to this 2-month old; even though she can’t talk, she is CLEARLY articulating exactly how she feels.

Any further questions? Please direct them to those flexed toes – very expressive!

(Thanks, Jessie B.!)

He also gives a firm handshake, in case you were wondering.

(Thanks, Candice S.!  A rare find… probably the only sad photo ever taken of your happy girl!)

These boots are made for stomping

Thesebootsaremadeforstomping

It figures this kid is peeved off! Peeved Michelle (of http://thepeevery.com blog) says her daughter LOVES everything about these boots… playing with them, working the velcro fasteners, even saying “boots!” as she walks around the house. She just doesn’t like wearing them, for reasons known only to the toddler herself.

(Thanks, Peeved Michelle! And good luck on Baby #2 – literally due any hour)

We didn't start the fire

BBO We didn't start the fire

Somehow Step 1 of Campfire Building 101 is a lot harder than it looks.

(Thanks, Terra G.!)
